Working for Good
Anchor
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
— Romans 8:28 (NIV)
What it means
Paul does not say all things are good. He says God works in all things for good — for those who love Him. 'Called according to purpose' means your life is held inside God's bigger plan, even when pieces look broken.
In your life
Something may feel wasted — a job loss, a broken plan, a hard season. Paul invites hope: God is still working. Not every pain becomes good quickly. But love for God opens the door for Him to weave even pain toward purpose.
Today's challenge
One Hard Thing, One Hope
- 1Name one painful thing you are carrying.
- 2Pray: 'God who loves me, work even this toward good. I cannot see how yet.'
Prayer
Father, not everything feels good. You still work for good in those who love You. Work in my life today.
Reflect
What hard thing are you willing to place in God's hands as He works for good?
