He Knows Which One You Are
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

At night several flocks shared one walled pen. In the morning each shepherd stood at the gate and called. His own sheep walked out from among the others and came to him. They did not know words. They knew a voice, because they had heard it every day. Jesus describes that ordinary scene. The sheep know His voice, and He knows every one of them.

What does it mean that Jesus knows His sheep?
The word carries relationship, not information. It is the knowing of long familiarity, used elsewhere for the closest human bonds.
What if I struggle to recognise His voice?
The sheep learned by daily exposure, not by talent. Regular time in Scripture and prayer is how a voice becomes familiar.
