Things You Do Not Know
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

Jeremiah heard this while confined in the courtyard of the guard. The Babylonian army was outside the walls and Jerusalem was weeks from falling. He could not leave and he could not fix anything. Into that God said: call to me. The invitation came to a man with no options, not to a man with a plan.
What did you do the last time there was nothing left to try? Jeremiah was locked in a courtyard with an army outside and God told him to call. Asking does not require a strategy first. Start the week by asking instead of solving.
Ask Before You Solve

Confined in the courtyard of the guard in Jerusalem while the Babylonian army besieged the city. He had neither freedom nor influence.
What are the unsearchable things?
The Hebrew suggests things fenced off or out of reach. Not information about the future, but understanding a person cannot arrive at alone.
Does this promise God grants every request?
It promises an answer, not always the one requested. Jeremiah still watched the city fall, and still received a word about what came after.
