My Times in Your Hands
“My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me.”
— Psalm 31:15 (NIV)
David prayed Psalm 31 while Saul hunted him and his plans collapsed. He said my times are in Your hands. July ends with mixed results. Wins, losses, prayers still open. David placed seasons he could not control into God's hands and asked for deliverance there.
You are allowed to close this month without everything on it being finished. David said his times were in God's hands while he was still being hunted, so he was not describing a tidy situation. July had wins and it had things that did not happen. Both can go into the same hands tonight.
Release the Month
- 1Tell one person one honest line about your July: a win or a loss.
- 2Write 'July' on paper. Under it: one win, one loss, one open hope. Fold it and say: 'My times are in Your hands.'
Lord, July did not go the way I wanted. I am putting it in Your hands.
I can close this month without finishing everything.
What are my times?
Your seasons, days, transitions, deadlines, griefs, and hopes in time.
Does this mean no planning?
No. You plan and also trust, God holds outcomes you cannot control.
How do I enter August?
Honestly name July, release the timeline, and take one faithful step forward.
