You Are Mine
“But now, this is what the Lord says, he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: 'Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.'”

God spoke these words to Jacob after years of running. Jacob had lied to his father and fled from Esau. Later God changed his name to Israel. Even then, God said: I created you, I redeemed you, I called you by name. You belong to Me. That was true before Jacob fixed anything.
