All of You, for God
Anchor
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.”
— Mark 12:30 (NIV)
What it means
Jesus quotes the greatest command: love God with everything. Heart — desires. Soul — inner life. Mind — thoughts. Strength — body and energy. Love is not a slice of life. It is the whole self turned toward God.
In your life
You may love God in church but compete with Him for attention elsewhere. This command is honest: all of you. Start where you are. Offer your mind at work, your strength in chores, your heart in relationships to Him today.
Today's challenge
Offer One Part
- 1Pick one area — heart, mind, or strength — you often keep from God.
- 2Offer it in prayer: 'Lord, I love You with this part of me today.'
Prayer
Lord, teach me to love You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength — starting with what I hold back today.
Reflect
Which part of you — heart, soul, mind, or strength — do you most need to love God with today?
