Wonderfully Made
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
— Psalm 139:14 (NIV)
David wrote this psalm about being formed before anyone saw him. For 'woven together' he used the word describing the embroidered curtain in the temple. Thread by thread, worked by hand, a pattern planned in advance. 'Fearfully' means awe-inspiring, not frightening. 'Wonderfully' means set apart and marvelously formed. Your body and your story came off that loom.
Sunday morning, mirror in the hallway. You stop and list what you would change. God wove you thread by thread, like that temple curtain. Thank Him today for one thing you usually criticize.
