A Time for Everything

Anchor
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)

What it means

The Teacher opens a famous poem about seasons of life. Planting and uprooting. Weeping and laughing. Not everything belongs to every day. Wisdom includes knowing what time it is in your life.

In your life

You may want to rush a season — force healing, success, or closure before its time. Or you may want to freeze a good moment forever. Today asks: what season am I in? Honoring the season can bring peace and purpose.

Today's challenge

Name Your Season

  • 1Write one word for the season you think you are in — waiting, building, grieving, resting, or other.
  • 2Ask God: 'What faithfulness looks like for me in this season today?'
Prayer

God, everything has its season. Help me discern mine and walk faithfully in it today.

Reflect

What season of life are you in — and what does faithfulness look like there today?
