Never Left Alone
Anchor
“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, 'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'”
— Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)
What it means
The writer warns against chasing money as security. Then gives a better promise: God will not leave you. 'Content' does not mean never wanting change. It means your deepest security is God's presence, not your bank account.
In your life
Bills, prices, and comparison can steal peace. You may feel behind others. God's promise is simpler and deeper: I will not leave you. Gratitude grows when you name His presence as enough for today.
Today's challenge
Count Presence, Not Lack
- 1List three things you already have that you would miss if they were gone.
- 2Thank God aloud: 'You will not leave me. I am grateful You are here.'
Prayer
God, I chase security in many places. You promise never to leave me. Help me be content in Your presence today.
Reflect
Where are you looking for security more than thanking God for His presence?
