Remain in My Love
Anchor
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.”
— John 15:9 (NIV)
What it means
Jesus roots your identity in the same stream of love flowing between Father and Son. Then He commands: remain. His love is given; remaining is practiced. We do not earn His love, but we can live near it or drift from awareness of it.
In your life
You can spend a whole day loved by God but functionally disconnected from that reality. This verse calls for intentional staying: returning to His words, refusing shame narratives, and choosing obedience that keeps your heart open to love.
Today's challenge
Stay Close for One Day
- 1Set two short pauses today to repeat: 'Jesus, I remain in Your love.'
- 2When shame or self-accusation rises, answer with this verse instead of agreeing with it.
Prayer
Jesus, keep my heart close to Your love today. Guard me from drifting into fear and self-rejection.

What most quickly pulls your heart away from awareness of Christ's love?
