Throw It on Him
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
— 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
Peter uses a strong verb: cast. Not 'organize your anxiety' or 'manage it better.' Throw it onto God. Why? Because He cares for you personally. Biblical peace is not pretending problems are small; it is trusting that God is bigger and attentive.
Anxiety often feels private, like you should carry it silently to look strong. This verse gives you another path: transfer the weight. You are not weak for needing God; you are wise for refusing to carry what He invited you to hand over.
Transfer the Weight
- 1Write down three worries in one short list.
- 2Pray through each one by name and end each line with: 'I place this in Your hands.'
Father, I cast my anxieties onto You. Thank You that Your care is not abstract but personal and present.
What burden are you still holding as if God had not invited you to release it?
