Let It Be to Me
Anchor
“I am the Lord's servant. May your word to me be fulfilled.”
— Luke 1:38 (NIV)
What it means
Mary does not understand every detail of what God is asking. She asks one honest question, then she surrenders: 'I am the Lord's servant.' This is not passivity. It is courageous trust. She entrusts her reputation, future, and safety to God's word.
In your life
Some days faith is not a strong feeling. It is one sentence of surrender in the middle of uncertainty: 'Let it be to me according to Your word.' You may not control what comes next, but you can choose who holds your next step. Trust begins where control ends.
Today's challenge
One Sentence of Surrender
- 1Name one area where you are trying to control outcomes right now.
- 2Pray aloud: 'Lord, I am Yours. Let Your word be fulfilled in this area.'
Prayer
Father, I place my plans and fears in Your hands. Teach me Mary's trust: available, humble, and brave.
Reflect
Where is God inviting you to trust His word more than your control today?
