Have Faith in God
“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.”
— Mark 11:22 (NIV)
Jesus speaks directly to His disciples, calling them to place their trust completely in God. This isn't a suggestion or a nice idea—it's a command rooted in Jesus's own confidence in His Father. When we have faith in God, we're anchoring our lives to the One who is completely trustworthy and faithful.
Today, you'll face moments that tempt you to worry: an uncertain situation at work, a health concern, a strained relationship. Jesus's command invites you to pause and redirect your trust toward God instead of your circumstances. Having faith in God means believing He is good, He is present, and He cares about what matters to you.
Practicing Trust Today
- 1Identify one worry or concern on your heart right now, and write it down.
- 2Speak aloud: 'Jesus, I choose to have faith in God with this situation,' naming it specifically.
- 3Take one small action today that shows you trust God with this—whether that's praying, sharing it with a trusted friend, or simply letting go of trying to control the outcome.
Jesus, help me trust God completely with what I cannot control, just as You did.
What situation in my life right now is asking me to choose faith in God instead of fear?
