Gratitude Changes Everything
Anchor
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)
What it means
Paul does not say give thanks FOR everything, but IN everything. We are not asked to be grateful for pain, but to find something to thank God for even in painful seasons. Gratitude is a discipline that shifts our focus.
In your life
The day went sideways. Nothing worked as planned. You feel frustrated and drained. But even now, you can pause and name one small good thing: a warm drink, a kind word, breath in your lungs. Gratitude does not deny the hard—it notices the good alongside it.
Today's challenge
Three Good Things
- 1Before bed tonight, write down three things you are thankful for
- 2Include at least one thing from a difficult moment
Prayer
Lord, open my eyes to see Your goodness even in hard days. Thank You for being with me.
Reflect
What small good thing can you thank God for right now?
